This week on Wednesday we had a table read with our actors, it was both an incredibly stressful and exciting experience.
It was the first time the actor and actresses would be doing a whole read-through of the script and understandably, tensions were high. Before we started, we scrambled around gathering all information about table reads and doing as much as we could to prepare.
It was daunting at first when we started off, but then as we built a rapport with the actors we were able to communicate better and have an open discussion about what sort of changes in the script they had suggestions about and etc. Through the table read we were able to see how the actors interacted with one another and what sort of relationship they had and how that translated into the story.
It was a surreal experience to have the actors read out loud the words we had written down and having them spoken loud and clear made everything seem so much more real. We improved the script according to the changes that were suggested during the table read, such as adding more description, having a clearer ending for the story and etc.
We begin shooting on the 16th of March, our nerves are all over the place, but we're looking forward to the shoot as finally, we get to see our project go through the production phase.
