For our first milestone we had set out to complete the lined script, storyboard, funding and casting. As of this week, we have managed to complete our storyboard and lined script as well as a script breakdown. Some additional shots will be added to the lined script and storyboard but for now we have a fair idea of the kind of shots we'll have and what equipment we will require. To better visualize our storyboard, we're referring back to the movies we cited as inspiration such as Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind, Blue Valentine, The Time Agent etc.
This Friday we plan to have a test shoot at our location, which will help us iron out details regarding the set design and on the weekend we'll have acquired our props. Since in the final draft of the screenplay we decided that the mother would be a flower shop owner, and that the plants in Deniz's house would directly reflect her relationship with her mother and also her own state of mind, plants and flowers now play a crucial role for our set design. Since most of the action takes place in one room, we have to make sure each prop holds significance.
Our Fongogo campaign was also launched this week (linked below). We hope to acquire 4000TL for our project by the 17th of March. Along with the campaign we also launched our teaser trailer, which was shot as an advertisement for our Artificial Intelligence device, AIA. The trailer is also linked below so do check it out!.
We have also found most of our cast, save for the role of the mother, who we will hopefully have cast by the end of February.
Our project is moving quite smoothly so far and we've completed our first milestone. We're hopeful that it will continue moving on this smoothly (a hiccup here or there is expected), and we cant wait to share the end result with you!
