As of yesterday, we have finalized 3 of our actors! They consist of Yağmur Elif Seber as Deniz, Sena Burcu Kurdoğlu as AIA and Mustafa Doğukan Güllüpınar as Haydar.
We met them and had a discussion concerning their roles. It was interesting to note their perspective on the characters they are playing as it could help us flesh out the roles more. Their enthusiasm concerning their roles brought us a lot of happiness and gave us a lot more confidence in our project.
As the director and writer, it was especially interesting to now be able to put a face to the characters. Before they were just faceless beings that I had some idea of what they looked like but it was vague, but now being able to attach a face to the characters makes it all the more real and I'm able to think more clearly about what each shot might look like and what sort of mannerisms these actors will be able to imbue in the characters.
As our project draws closer, feelings of nervousness and excitement abound, we hope to have a table-read and our set design finished by next week.
